What are UpFront Reviews?

UpFront Reviews – the FREE verified reviews system from SuperControl.

UpFront Reviews are verified (only genuine guests can submit them, removing the risk of fake reviews) and automated (once set up, review requests are sent automatically). It is a free service available exclusively to properties that use SuperControl online booking system.

UpFront Reviews enables you to receive valuable feedback about your accommodation, and visitors can view reviews before they book, which helps them decide where to stay. The person who placed the booking is invited by email to submit a review.

To view the Upfront Reviews feature go to Integrations > Upfront Reviews.

Features include:

  • Gradings: Guests mark your property out of 5 for Cleanliness, Service, Comfort, Condition, Location & Value.
  • Opt in or opt out: Unlike other review sites you decide if you want to opt in, and you are free to opt out at any time if you change your mind. It’s all managed from within your SuperControl account.
  • Text: Your guests can add a written review. 
  • Customisation: You can add custom questions. 
  • Communication: Reply to your guest’s review.
  • Integration: Display reviews on your website, Facebook and Twitter.
  • 48hr window: A review takes 48 hours to go live. During this time you can request the review is removed. If you have a valid reason it will never be posted.
  • Dispute resolution: A simple dispute process for inaccurate or untruthful reviews.

Guests need to be notified that you will pass their email address to UpFront Reviews for the purpose of us sending the review request email. We do this by including a note at the bottom of the booking form that appears on your website. The wording is: "We use a guest review service called UpFront Reviews, which is part of our booking system. We will share with them your email address so they can contact you directly by email to ask you to review your stay at our property".
