Grid View Sneak Peak

We're pleased to share that our new and improved Grid View is now in beta testing, with a full launch scheduled for this quarter. This update brings significant enhancements, especially for our mobile users. Experience a cleaner, more organised interface that makes navigation a breeze on your devices. Stay tuned for more updates as we refine and perfect the Grid View to better serve your needs.

Housekeeper Login

Exciting news for housekeepers! Our refreshed Housekeeper Login, launching in Q2, will greatly simplify the mobile experience. The new mobile version features a single, condensed report that retains all the functionalities of the previous, segmented reports. Now, you won't need to jump from page to page to perform different actions. Whether it's for arrivals or departures, all actions can be managed from one streamlined page. We're also refreshing the desktop version to enhance efficiency. Prepare for a faster, more integrated experience across all devices.

Tooltips

We're pleased to share that our new tooltips feature is now active within your accounts. Designed to offer immediate assistance, these tooltips help you save time by providing quick, on-screen help right when you need it. Our team is continuously updating and adding new tips to the settings based on your feedback. This means you get relevant and timely guidance that enhances your user experience as you navigate our system.

The Agency Marketplace 

Big news! We're thrilled to announce that the SuperControl Agency Marketplace is launching soon - a dedicated where property owners and agencies come together for shared success.

This new feature aims to streamline the process of enhancing your property's reach and bookings by facilitating meaningful partnerships. Whether you're looking to increase visibility, manage bookings more efficiently, or tap into expert local knowledge, the Agency Marketplace is your go-to resource.

For Property Owners: 

  • Increased Visibility: Your property will be seen by a wider audience, thanks to expert marketing strategies employed by seasoned agencies.
  • Local Expertise: Benefit from agencies' in-depth understanding of your local market.
  • More Bookings: With professional support, expect an uptick in both direct bookings and overall occupancy rates.

The Agency Marketplace be available to agencies shortly and will open its doors to owners on the 8th of May 2024.

HolidayRentPayment: Improved Refund Timeline

HolidayRentPayment has reduced the refund processing time from 10-17 days to 7 days. We have updated the guest refund receipts accordingly to display this new information. This change is intended to reduce the number of queries from guests regarding the timing of their refunds, aiming for a smoother and clearer refund process.

Updated Payment Features for XCover Alterations

We have implemented an improvement to the process for handling manual payments for XCover alterations.

Previously, the completion of modifications on bookings with an active XCover alteration awaiting payment required sending a payment link to the guest. If the guest chose to pay over the phone, the payment would be processed, but the XCover alteration wouldn't be updated.

Now, a new option has been added to the customer payments tab: a tick box appears when there is an accepted alteration awaiting payment.

This feature works for both card processed and custom payments. Simply select this box before confirming a manual payment, and the XCover alteration will be confirmed automatically.

Manage Duplicate Customer Records

To support the management of duplicate customer records, we've added a new feature accessible via Database > Merge Duplicates. When you're editing a customer record, you can now mark it as a legitimate duplicate if applicable. Additionally, when generating reports on customer records, you have the option to exclude these legitimate duplicates. This update ensures they no longer appear in reports as they previously did, streamlining data management and improving report accuracy.

Vrbo Integration Update

Vrbo has removed the functionality to receive guest inquiries through our integration, meaning you can no longer view messages from Vrbo within SuperControl. Consequently, we have removed the "Enable Receiving of Enquiries" feature from the Vrbo integration page in SuperControl. 
Vrbo has confirmed that you will still be able to manage guest inquiries through your central dashboard. And let's not forget, we're all about instant bookings!

Booking.com API Update

Our development team has been working to update the integration with Booking.com’s API. As Booking.com phases out some of their existing APIs and introduces new ones, we're making sure our integration remains intact. There's no action required on your part—just continue to enjoy the streamlined connectivity and functionality that you expect.

Enhancements to Direct Guest Booking Journey

We've focused on refining the direct guest booking process to boost end-to-end conversion rates. After a detailed analysis of the payment flow, we've improved the transition from the cart to payment pages and enhanced the messaging to guests regarding failed payments. These updates clarify the reasons for payment issues, enabling guests to retry payments independently and reducing the need for additional support.

Upcoming Cottages.com API Upgrade

We are currently upgrading our integration with Cottages.com to accommodate changes in their API infrastructure. Some existing APIs are being deprecated and replaced with new versions to improve functionality. This upgrade, which will be launched soon, requires no action on your part. It will feature real-time booking updates and enhanced control over cancellations, providing you with more flexibility and efficiency in managing bookings. This means you will no longer have to contact Cottages.com to amend any bookings. Stay tuned for the release of these exciting enhancements!

Improvement to Mobile Photo Uploads

We've resolved an issue affecting the orientation of photos uploaded from mobile devices. This fix ensures that photos will now display correctly when uploaded, enhancing the functionality and user experience on our platform. You can continue to upload images without the need for additional adjustments.
