What payment processor should I choose?

Each of the following payment processors offer the highest level of integration meaning you can take payments and issue refunds within a SuperControl booking. The charges and costs of each one are shown below to help you make an informed decision.

Sage Pay

Before you can use Sage Pay,  you need to apply for an e-commerce merchant account with your bank, which Sage Pay requires in order to authorise you to take online payments. Once you have this, you can then sign-up with Sage Pay. This integration allows you to take credit and debit cards. Should you wish, you can hold money on the guest’s card for a security deposit, avoiding the need to take money and then refund it back to the guest post-stay (or take a payment if they leave any damage). HolidayRentPayment

A major reason to choose HolidayRentPayment as your Payment Processor is that there is no monthly fee and you don’t need an e-commerce merchant account. You have to fill in one short form within your SuperControl account, and provided the application is successful, then you’re ready to start taking online payments within the next few days.  HolidayRentPayment charge a transaction fee of 2.29% on all payments (whether they are debit or credit cards) rather than any standing fees.

Secure Trading

Firstly you need to apply for an e-commerce merchant account with your bank to authorise you to take online payments. Once you have this, you can then sign-up with Secure Trading. This integration allows you to take credit and debit cards. This integration does not have the function to hold money on a guests card for a security deposit- you would therefore need to take the money and then refund it post-stay (or retain it if they leave any damage). Secure Trading charges apply.
