Booking Cart Information Hub (Legacy calendar users)

Updated on

SuperControl’s booking cart is an integral part of the website integration that we offer to you. It’s the final stage in the checkout process and is where your potential guest chooses to hit ‘book now’ before inserting their payment information.

What is a booking cart?

A booking cart is the web page your potential guest is taken to when finalising their booking. It summarises their selected dates and rates and is the final step in completing the booking process. This is fundamental to direct booking success, and SuperControl is pleased to share a new and improved version of its booking cart that offers a much slicker checkout process for your guest.

What’s changed?

We are no longer offering the "design match" service. This is where you could have the legacy booking cart journey designed on a page that looks like your website so the guests booking journey appeared to be on your website domain throughout.

We will automatically update your booking cart onto our latest template version as an interim solution. See below to see an example:

Can I change the colour of the template booking cart?

Yes you can. Go to Admin > Website integration. You should have a saved default calendar here (if you don't have anything please contact [email protected])

Click Edit next to your calendar then click the coloured square next to "Brand" and choose your preferred colour option. Then click Save calendar.

What's the difference between legacy calendars and the latest calendars and why should I switch?

The latest calendars are:

  • Fully mobile optimised
  • User friendly
  • Has an updated modern design
  • Seamless guest booking experience. The booking cart is contained with a pop-up (so the guest is placing their booking on your website without diverting away to "...supercontrol.co.uk..."pages)
  • Colours and format can be easily customised

The legacy calendars are:

  • Not fully mobile optimised
  • Has a "dated" appearance
  • Non-user friendly booking journey. Requires the booking cart to navigate to "...supercontrol.co.uk..." pages for guests to make a booking.
