Within the guest login, file categories can be used to group files by subject, e.g. information for all appliances. This makes it easier for the guest to find the information they are looking for. It also allows you to better manage your documents, especially when you are uploading a larger number of them.
To create a file category:
- Go to Admin > Guest Login.
- Click Add file category.

- On the next page enter a Title for the file category.
- Add a number for page order - for example, if you want to add multiple file categories and you want this one to show first, add 1 in the box.
- Click Save.

This will refresh/save and return you to the guest login home page, where you need to scroll to the bottom of the page to see the different file categories.
In the screenshot below it shows two categories - The top one has no files associated with it yet (0 files), whereas a document as been associated with the second category (1 file).
When you add a document under Admin > Guest Login > Upload document, you can select a category for it to be associated with by using the drop down for Category.

Once you have added the document title and uploaded the file itself, make sure to tick the box to Enable the uploaded document and then click Save.

If you have already uploaded files, but want to add them to categories, you can do this as well.
- Go to Admin > Guest Login and scroll to the bottom of the page.
There you will see a table with all your uploaded documents. You will see if a category has been applied or not in the Category column.
- Click Edit on the right hand side.
- Select the required category from the drop-down list.
- Click Save.

Once the page has refreshed and you see the guest login home screen again, you can scroll to the bottom of the page again and will see that the document is now allocated to the category.
Please note:
The guest will see the documents within the categories under Useful information.

If you no longer require a document categories, you can also delete.
- Go to Admin > Guest Login and scroll to the bottom of the page.
There you will see a table with all your file categories. - Click Edit on the right hand side of the category.
- Click Delete.

You will see a prompt to confirm that the category is to be deleted (A pop-up box asking "Are you sure?"), click OK. The page will refresh.
When you now look at the table of your uploaded documents at the bottom of the page, you will see that the category has been deleted, but the document is still there.
