How to create a report showing the minimum letting requirements were met

Updated on

As it is a legal requirement for the businesses in the vacation rental sector to submit a report detailing the number of nights a property is rented out, this article explains how to create a per property report in SuperControl.

  1. Go to Bookings > Search bookings.
  2. Select the property you want to collate the data for, select the Arrival dates as required. Make sure to include the owner bookings, if you have any of these bookings, which have generated income.
The same goes for cross-updated bookings. If you have added financial details in cross-updated bookings and you have received this money, please make sure this option is selected.
  3. Click Search.

The below screenshot shows the options selected for one property for the first quarter of 2025.

Once the report has been created, you need to export it as a CSV file.

  1. Click the icon next to the Show advanced filters button.
A CSV-file will be automatically saved to your device.
  1. Open the downloaded file in any spreadsheet application, e.g. LibreOffice Calc or Excel.

You will see quite a number of columns, which are not necessary. You should delect all columns except for:
Ref (booking number)
Property Name
First name
Last name
Arrival
Departure
Nights
Total

The data left should like something like in the screenshot below.

  1. Make sure to save the file after amending it.
