How do I allocate disability amenities to Airbnb?

Updated on

Airbnb is allowing two different kinds of amenities:
- normal amenities, e.g. a cooker, hair dryer etc.
- disability amenities, e.g. Shower chair, step-free access etc.

Please note:
All disability amenities must have a photo associated with them.

Airbnb is also reviewing all disability amenities. This can take several days.

1. Create all amenities as required and apply them to the respective properties.

For more information re creating amenities, please see this help centre article.

When you go Properties > Edit > select Amenities to the right of the property > Go, you should see your created amenities. All that are ticked, have been allocated to the property

2. Go to Properties > Edit > Photos (to the right of the property ) > Go.
Upload all photos for your disability amenities.

3. When the photos are uploaded select an option from the Airbnb accessibility drop-down menu.

The amenities now need to be mapped to Airbnb.

4. Go to Properties > Amenities > Add / edit amenities.

Click onto the grey Map Airbnb to the right of any amenity. A pop-up will appear.

5. Click onto the filed underneath Airbnb Equivalent and select the closest option from the list.

When everything has worked correctly, there is now the Airbnb logo showing for the mapped amenity.

5. Next go to Properties > Edit > Web details >> Airbnb data > Amenities tab.
You will now see the amenities that have been associated with Airbnb and the property showing a green tick in the list.

Should you have forgotten to associate photos with your disability, use the link Click here to do this.
