Adding discount notes to the booking cart

You can inform your guest about current and upcoming special prices and discounts by adding a note directly to the booking carts date selection.

Please note:
You can set up different discount notes for each property individually.
It is also possible to choose different discount notes for each site ID, if you have more than one.

Agency only
You can add discount notes that show in the booking cart indefinitely or set a time period, e.g. if you are offering a discount for last minute bookings.

Perpetual discount notes

  1. Go to Properties > Edit > select Discounts from the drop-down menu > Go > scroll to the near bottom of page.
  2. You will see a section called Discount notes.
    Enter the text you want to appear in the booking cart.
    You can use the formatting buttons at the top of the section to change the font, size or colour of the text.
  3. Click Save.

Please note:
If you have more than one sideID and have created separate calendars for the different siteIDs, please make sure to select the site where the text should apply before adding the text.
Otherwise the text might appear on a calendar, where it is not supposed to show.

The selected siteID will be sued for both discount note sections.

The screenshot below shows how the text will display in the booking cart.

Please note:
The discount notes will not show in custom calendars when using the API to pull availability from SuperControl.

  1. Go to Properties > Edit > select Discounts from the drop-down menu > Go > scroll to the near bottom of page.
  2. You will see a section called Date limited discount notes.
    Enter the text you want to appear in the booking cart.
    You can use the formatting buttons at the top of the section to change the font, size or colour of the text.
  3. Set the date from and until when the note should be show in the booking cart.
  4. Click Save.

Please note:
These dates are the booking dates, not the arrival dates.
You can display information which the guest needs to be aware of while booking. Even so the actual arrival date might be several months in the future.

Example:
A note with a display date 18.04.2026 will start showing on this date. A guest looking at the property any day before this day, will not see the note.

You can easily amend the text once it has been added.

  1. Go to Properties > Edit > select Discounts from the drop-down menu > Go > scroll to the bottom of page.
    You will see section Edit date limited custom text.
  2. Click Edit.
    A pop-up will come up.
  1. Amend the text and dates as required.
  2. Click Save.

Clicking Delete will remove the discount note.
