Agents : How do I add a third party agent?

Updated on

In the past real life travel agents could add bookings. To make sure that they received their commission

1. Go to Admin > Agents > Add agents.

2. Add in as much information about the agent, enter their commission details and click “Save”.

Agent settings explained:

'Deduct from customer payment' is a setting that asks do you want to deduct the agent commission from the customer payment or not?

Deduct from customer payment = Yes

This means the agent commission is deducted from the full rate to lower the customer payment and final property total. For example:

When you edit the booking the setting looks like:

(Most common) Deduct from customer payment = No

This will only reduce the property profit for the financial reports and not touch the customer payments. For example:

When you edit the booking the setting looks like:

Agency users only

Deduct from customer payment = Yes

This means the agent commission is deducted from the full rate to lower the customer payment and final property total.

(Most common) Deduct from customer payment = No

This will only reduce the property profit for the financial reports and will not affect the customer payments.

What does “Enable booking by code” mean?

When you tick this box, the following field will open on your website booking form:

The travel agent can log their ID (shown in Admin > Agents > Edit agents):
