You can import your prices from a CSV file directly into SuperControl.
Please email our Client Care team at [email protected] to enable this function in your account.
You can use the printable price table to create a CSV file.
This means you only need to amend the prices and not start from scratch. Though, it is also possible to start a completely new table in the spreadsheet of your choice and use it for the CSV-file creation.
1. Go to Properties > Edit > Price planner on the right > Go > click the Printable prices button
2. Select the year and click Go
A table like this will be created.
Select the contents of the table and paste it into a spreadsheet
3. Convert the dates from e.g. Thu 31 Mar 2022 to 31/03/2022.
Repeat this for all dates in the table.
Please note:
It is important to make sure the below rules are followed.
Example: a price band will start on the 01/01/2025 and ends on the 07/01/2025; the next price band should start the following day 08/01/2025 and end when desired (e.g. 31/01/2025).
IMPORTANT:
The END date of the last price band must NOT have a date in the following year.
Example:
start date - 10.12.2025
end date - 06.01.2026
The correct latest end date should be 31.12.2025.
If the dates of the last price band are spanning over two year / arch into the following year, the system will not be able to import the data provided.
Example:
The file name must not be longer than 20 characters.
This-name-is-way-too-long-as there-are-too-many-characters.scv
This-name-is-fine.csv
Example:
There must not be any other characters in the file name other than
letters
number
- (hyphen)
_ (underscore)
This_is_file-123.csv -> The file name is okay.
This is file 123.csv -> The file name will cause an error.
First, second, third list.csv -> The file name will cause an error.
The_right_name?.csv -> The file name will cause an error.
12-15-2024 prices.csv -> The file name will cause an error.
4. Add a column for the number of guests.
Please note:
All fields need contain content.
If you do not charge a price for e.g. a set number of nights, please make sure to enter 0 (zero) into the field.
Please note:
If no per person pricing is being used, then this column needs to be filled with 0.
The pricing import tool will assume full occupancy by default.
If per person pricing is being used every number of guests needs to have it's own row with prices.
6. Delete the header row.
Please note:
Headers are for example only.
There MUST NOT be any headers in the file when it is being saved.
The final table needs to look like this.
7. Save the file as CSV file without any further formatting.
If the csv-file is not being imported, please ensure you have followed the below steps when preparing the file for importing the prices.
- Start date and End date should be formatted as dd/mm/yyyy
- There should be no headers in the file
- The 'pax' (number of guests) column should be 0 (zero) for full occupancy
- No currency signs, e.g. £, only numbers in the file
- If using daily prices ensure you include a weekly price in the last column
- Please ensure the start date and end date are different between price bands.
