Bookings > Search bookings

There is a multitude of filters to choose from when searching for bookings.
Depending on the filters used, you can check for specific guests, how many bookings have been received for a specific property or how many guests have booked in a given time period.

  1. Go to Bookings > Search bookings
  2. Select the filters required to find the data you are looking for.
1. Search by

There is a wide range of option that can be selected. Choose the one required for the data you need to extract.
As the name says, these search options are customer (guest) related.

Customers

These are the search filters you can use when searching for a specific customer or using customer specific information, e.g. post code.

Please note:
If the name of the guest is different from the person making the booking, you can look for them as well using the Guest name option.

Booking

This options allows to search for bookings meeting specific criteria, e.g. status or source.
All these options are referring to information relating to specific bookings.

Property

These options are all relating to the individual properties, e.g. property name or property group.

Owners

If you need to search for bookings in regards to specific owners, you can use this option.

Payment status

This options allows you to search for bookings that have been e.g. overpaid. You can also find any booking with an open deposit or balance.

Housekeeper, Agent, Affiliate

Please note:
You will see these options only, when
- you have set up a housekeeper
- an agent has been created
- you are connected to a channel

Depending on the selection, you will see an empty field to enter your search criterion or a drop-down menu from which to select the required criterion.

Please note:
These options in the drop-down menu have to be set up in your SuperControl.
In the screenshot above all property groups are showing, which have been set up.

2. Date range: What kind off data is required

There are different kinds of dates you can filter for, e.g. Arrival time, booking time or Enquiry date.
Select the required one from the drop-down list.

3. Date range: Select dates

Select the dates for the period you want to search for the required information. Click onto the small calendar icon to choose the precise dates.

You need to select a start and an end date.

4. Date range: Show additional date filter

It is possible to search for up to two date ranges.
To do this click the link Show additional date filter.
This opens a second row allowing for the second date range to be added.

Example:
You could for example searching for bookings with arrival dates in the first half of 2025, where the booking was place last month, September 2024.

Once you no longer need the second date selection row, simply click on Hide additional date filter.

5. Owner bookings (Agency only)

If you are allowing you owners to add bookings directly or use the Bookings > Add owner booking feature, you can include or exclude the owner bookings from you searched. Or you can search for owner bookings only.

6. Property added dates

This option allows you to define the date(s) for when a property was added.
You can use this to check for bookings when properties have been newly added to see, how they are doing.

Selecting either option Added prior to and Added after will be opening up a calendar option to select the date.

Selecting the option Added between will open two date selection options.

7. Booking status

This allows you to look for a specific booking status or for enquiries.

8. Show cross-updated bookings (only when set up)

This option will only show, when you have cross-updating set up, either within you own account or to a different SuperControl account.

Please note:
As all cross-updated bookings are entered as Closed property bookings, you need to make sure to tick this option as well to make sure the cross-updated bookings are being found.

9. Show property closed bookings

This option allows you to include bookings that have been made for e.g. maintenance, to block off dates. As these bookings are rarely for guests, you might not need to include them in your search.
Should you prefer to show them nevertheless, simply tick this box.

11. Show advanced filters

You can select with data is being shown in the search results, clicking this button.
There are two sections within the list of filters:

11.1. The data showing in the search results on screen
11.2. The data that is being included into the CSV-file when exporting the search results

Please note:
The booking extras can either be exported as one figure. This means all booking extras are being added together and only the sum total is showing.
Or each booking extra can be exported to list in its individual column for each booking.
This is an either or selecting. Either Grouped extras or Itemise extras can be selected.

12. Export search results as CSV file

You can export your search results as a CSV file. This allows you to view and edit the results in any application capable of opening and editing CSV files, e.g. Excel or LibreOffice.

  1. Use the Show advanced filters button (see above) to select all the data you want to add to the exported file.
  2. Click the small icon to the right of the Show advanced filters button.
  3. Change the name to something meaningful to you and select the folder, where the file should be save to.
  4. Click Save.
