How do I add/amend my property photos?

Updated on

1. Go to Properties > Edit > Photos to the right of the property > Go.

2. From here you can delete any current photos, change your default photo and upload new photos.

The first photo uploaded, or the photo nominated as the 'Default Photo' will appear on our new-style Booking Form, and in an enquiry quote. It is therefore important to upload a photograph for each property.
This should be the most representative photo of the property, to remind the guest what they are booking during the check-out process.

Additional Photographs only need to be uploaded into SuperControl if:

- You are going to create new listings via SuperControl on Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO or Tripadvisor.

- You are using our additional SuperControl API functionality (an optional extra at additional cost) to facilitate website searching for properties. This is typically only needed by agencies and owner clients with large numbers of properties.

Photo Descriptions are needed, if you are using the full content integration with certain third-party channels, and can also be pulled through by users of the SuperControl API

The file type of the photos should be jpg / jepg.

You do not need to upload additional photos,  if you wish to connect to existing listings.

If you are setting up accessibility amenities for Airbnb, you need to associate a photo with the amenity.
Without the photos, trying to connect a property using the accessibility amenities will cause an error.

Please note: Airbnb is reviewing all accessibility amenities and their photos. This can take several days. The property will not be connected until the review has been completed by Airbnb.

Photo dimensions

We recommend for large images that your pixel dimensions are set to a minimum of 3840 pixels wide.

It is not required to set the height, since the photographs should auto-scale.

To set your pixel dimensions go to Admin > General details to set your photo sizes.

As soon as you make this change, you will be prompted to upload your images again. This is to ensure they are of high enough quality to be regenerated at this increased resolution.

The video below provides further explanations regarding photo sizes for channels and your own website in SuperControl.
