How to set-up custom property types

Under the Custom Property types menu option (Properties > Custom property types) you can specify what type of property you have, e.g. bungalow, apartment, lodge, etc.
You might set this up, if you have a larger number of properties listed on your website and want users to be able to search by custom property type, e.g. cottage, villa, apartment, for example. 

Adding a Custom property type

To add a property type:
1. Go to Properties > Custom property types
2. Enter text into the field
3. Click Add.     

Allocating a Custom property type to your property

Please note:
In order see the options for custom property type and property type, please make sure you select to show the advanced settings.
To do this toggle the setting Include advanced settings to On at the top right of the page.

To allocate a custom property type to a property:

1. Go to Properties > Edit > Go.

2. In the section Property details select the relevant custom property type from the drop-down menu.

3. Click Save at the top right of the page.

Searching by Property type

There are different ways to use custom property type when looking for a property.

Grid view

1. Go to Bookings > Grid view.
2. Click onto the down arrow.

3. Select the property type from the drop-down menu.

4. Click Go.
Only the properties that have the chosen property type will now show in the grid view.

Properties > Edit

Please note:
Searching Property types is only available for larger numbers of properties

1. Go to Properties > Edit.
2. In the search by drop-down menu select Property type.

3. A field will appear with a drop-down of all set up property types.

4. Click Go.
