This feature can be used for businesses that have more than one identical property, eg. several chalets of the same specification. It enables you to show one availability chart on your website, rather than a separate chart for every property.
1. Go to Properties > Property groups.
2. In the section Add group at the top, type the name of the group into the Group name field e.g. Property Sea View.
3. Select the lead property (Main property for grouped) for this group.
The lead property should be the one with all of the settings and prices set up. This allows for settings, prices and short breaks to be used for all other properties in the group.
4. Select the Display type from the drop-down menu. This means, if the properties in the group should display individually or grouped.
Display individually:
You can group properties, but still display them individually on your website. For example, you might own a complex where you want to group the properties by Sea view, Pool side, and so on. This setting is mainly for internal use, the guest will see every property listed individually with their own availability and prices.
Display grouped:
A good example of using this setting would be, if you have several properties with are identical. Rather than listing each property individually on your website, you can group them and have them display grouped as well.
This means the group name will display online eg.Cottages. Dates will show as available as long as there is a property within the group that is available for them. The dates will only become unavailable once all properties have been booked.
5. Decide, if the property name should be showing or only the property group name.
Please note:
Should you have at least one property connected to Booking.com you will see a further option to select how the property group is showing on Booking.com
6. Select, if the properties should be connected to Booking.com as a group or as individual properties.
1. Go to Properties > Edit > Settings > Go.
2. In the Property default section, select your group name and click Save at the bottom of the page.
Agency ONLY
Please note:
With the new DAC7 implementation the Property type has become a mandatory field.
Should you not yet have selected a property type, you will be prompted to select one when trying to change the allocation of the property to a property group.
Repeat the above steps step for all properties that need to be added to a property group.
