How can I set up property reminders?

Updated on

Setting up a reminder

You can set up reminders (e.g. gas safety certificate renewals, key access code changes etc.) for your properties in SuperControl.
Once the date of a reminder is reached the reminder will be showing in the dashboard upon logging into your account.

  1. To set up a new reminder go to Properties > Custom fields.
  2. Enter a name for your reminder in the text box. Select the field type as Date.
  3. Click Add new.
  1. Then go to Properties > Edit > Web details  -> Custom fields > Go.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Here you will see the reminder and be able to set a specific date for it.
  1. Enter the date for your reminder and tick Alert reminder.
  2. Click Save at the bottom left of the page.

When the chosen date arrives, the reminder will show in a pop-up when you log into your SuperControl account.
To check, if a reminder has been set, please see this help centre article.

Removing the reminder

If the reminder is no longer required, you can take it out again.
It doesn't matter, of the set date has been reached yet or not. You can take the reminder either way.

  1. Go to Properties > Edit > Web details  -> Custom fields > Go.
At the bottom of page you will find the reminder(s).
  2. Untick the box in front of Alert reminder. This will remove the reminder from the active reminder list. The reminder and it's original date are persevered.
  3. Click Save.

Alternatively, you can select to remove the set date by clicking Clear date.
You will be asked to confirm this choice by a pop-up. Once that has been done the date is removed.
Remember to click Save.

Agency only - Information how a reminder report can be sent to your owners can be found in this help centre article.
