How do I pay my owners individually?

Updated on

We would recommend watching our training video below. It goes into more detail in regards to what you should note when you are paying your owners.

We would advise to process the payment runs for each owner individually for the first few payment runs. This will provide you with a routine of how to process payments and create the statements to be sent to your owners.
Once you are comfortable with the process, and the financial details become familiar, you can change to bulk processing the statements.
Please see this help centre article for information on how to bulk process owner payments and statements.

  1. Go to Agency > Commission statement.
  2. Click the small cog on the right of the owner and select Statement.
  1. Tick the box in the left hand side column Mark paid for all the payments you want to include in the payment run.

The amount due to the owner, be it income or expense, will be automatically totalled up and shown in the Payment amount GBP field at the top of the page on the right hand side.

Please note:
You can either use the tick boxes to calculate the amount due to the owner OR you can enter a chosen amount.
It is not possible to tick some boxes
and add an additional amount.

  1. Ensure that Payment to owner is selected.
  2. Enter a caption e.g. August payment. Add a payment reference, if you are using these.
    Check the date selected.

Please note:
By default the date showing here is automatically the end date for the date range selected to filter the payments.
Please make sure to amend this, if this is not the correct date.

  1. Click Save.

7. All payments that were ticked will no longer be selectable in the column Mark paid. The box will show as greyed out.

Please make sure you are paying your owners from your actual bank account.

  1. At the top of the page you have the option to email the statement as an attachment directly to the owner by selecting the email template which has been created from the drop down list.
  1. Click Generate.
A pop-up with the preview of the email will open.
  2. Make sure you select to attach the PDF, Excel (csv) file or both documents.
  3. Click Send
