When dates need to be blocked of in an iCal connceted channel, but the same dates should be available in SC, the import settings can be changed to reflect that.

Go to Integrations > Admin tools > iCal Feeds > Import

Then change the setting for Ignore Not available from No to Yes.

The iCal feed can distinguish between legitimate bookings and blocked off dates.
