This article provides a list of all tags available for use in automated emails.
These tags are being used to automatically add information to your emails that are booking / property specific and change with each booking. This allows for a generic email template to be created, which will be customised by the system before being sent.
Most of them are self explanatory, e.g. First name, Last name etc. Others might be a bit more obscure, e.g. Add property section.
You find the tags by going to
new templates: Emails / Letters > Add > Tag
existing templates: Emails / Letters > Edit > Edit to the right of the letter > Tag
Below you find all different tag headings and the tags available within that section.
Customer
The tags in this section are taken directly from the guest details in an individual booking or enquiry.
Please note: Company is the company name provided by the guest. This is not your company name.
Guest Login (xxxxx) Manage my Booking - This allows you to add a link to your Guest Login.
If you have more than one Site ID in your SuperControl account, you will see multiple Guest Login tags, one for each individual Side ID.
Booking overall
These tags relate to the individual bookings overall.
They can be useful, if you wish to include details of a guests booking within email template text, e.g. should you wish to create your own booking summary.
For Agencies this can also be useful to customise email templates send to owners and/or housekeepers.
There are several different sub-sections with tags for different parts of your bookings and/or properties.
There is only one tag in this sub-section. If you want to use any tags in any of the other sub-sections, make sure you insert this tag at the beginning of your template creation.
Two entries will be added to your template between which you need to add your text.
Please note:
If these tags have not been added to your template NO property information from the booking will be automatically inserted into your email template.
The tags enable you to add a multitude of different information, including information about the housekeeper and the booking extras.

Note: In the screenshot above the extra pillows have been allocated as a booking extra to the property. The cot has been added as an additional extra.
If you have set up any custom form fields under Properties > Custom form fields, they will be listed in this sub-seciton.
The data for the tag will be pulled directly from the property the booking is for.

You can insert any of the default photos that have been uploaded for your properties using this tag.
Note: Only properties with assigned default photos will be listing here.
All booking extras will be listing as tags.
The tags for the booking extras only provide a list of the booking extras that have been added to the booking. Both default and non-default extras are being listed.
The numbers in the screenshot below are internal references for the booking extras.
Note: If you want to include the monies charged for the booking extras in a table format, please use the tags included in the Booking property items sub-section, please see above.
Layout & General
These tags are for general use, and allow to add the date when the email was sent, a page break and your main logo.
Note: The tag 'User Signature' is redundant and should no longer be used.
Owner details
If you have an Agency account, you will also have access to this section, which allows for extra tags to use in template messages to your owners.
Custom fields
These tags allows you to pull through to answers given by guests to your custom booking and/or enquiry form field questions. These can be particularly useful in creating emails for housekeepers.

Enquiries
These tags can be used when replying to enquiries. These tags cannot be used in any emails related to enquiries that have already been converted into bookings, or in any automated emails. They can only be used in templates intended for ad hoc replies to enquiries.
