Updated on

Please note:
Ensure you have set up the letter templates you want to use for your SMS before you start and try to schedule them.
Please see this help centre article, how to create templates.

You should also have set up any new letter group, if you do not want to schedule your SMS from within existing letter groups.
See this help centre article how to set up you letter group.

  1. Go to Emails/Letters > Automated emails/SMS.
  2. Select Add new letter from the drop-down menu to the right of the letter group.
  3. Click Go.
  1. Select the SMS template from the drop-down menu.
  2. Click Add letter.

The next page will allow you to schedule the SMS as required.

Please note:
The Delivery method selected needs to be Send letter via SMS

Example: Sending a key code to the guest
If you want to send the key code on the day before arrival, your schedule settings would like similar to the one in the screenshot below.

Example: Sending a balance reminder to the guest
If you want to send a SMS on a specific day, e.g. a balance reminder, with the balance due 42 days before arrival, but only if the balance has remained unpaid up to that point, you would schedule it by date. The setting would then be looking something like this:

  1. Select all required recipients.
  2. Click Update letter.

To set up further communications to be send by SMS, you need to repeat the steps above for each individual SMS.
