Once you have set up your SuperControl account, entered your property information, pricing and any future bookings, you are ready to start taking bookings. A checklist is available here
Your calendar and booking cart
The easiest and most effective way for guests to book is by using the SuperControl calendar widget on your website. This isn’t just a calendar — it’s a complete booking journey, designed to guide your guests smoothly from start to finish.
In just 5 simple steps, guests can check availability, select their dates, confirm their details, and make payment — all without leaving your website.
You can also customise the colours of your calendar to match your brand, creating a consistent and professional look that inspires confidence and helps turn browsers into bookers.
To find out how to set these up click here
1. The guest clicks on the arrival date, then a pop-up shows where they select the number of nights and the occupancy. The price will show if it is bookable, and the guest can click the "Book now" button.

2. Next they will be taken through the booking cart; where the guest can preview the booking here, adding a voucher code or any extras you have set on your account.

Any notes added in Properties>Edit>Booking Extras>Rental/Pricing notes will show under the Total
3. The next step is the booking form, where the guest will fill out all the required details for the booking to save.
During the booking process, guests can opt in to X-cover and select their preferred payment method to complete their booking. They’ll also be required to accept your Terms & Conditions before confirming.
If you’ve set up a subscription option, you can also invite guests to opt in seamlessly as part of the booking journey.
4. To complete their booking, the guest simply clicks ‘Complete Booking and Go to Payment’. They’ll be taken to a secure, PCI-compliant page, where they can safely enter their card details with confidence and peace of mind.
Taking bookings over the phone
You can still take bookings face-to-face, over the phone or by email. Bookings>Grid view shows availability at a glance; you can see all of your bookings and they are colour coded to show the booking's status. It shows provisional bookings, bookings where the guest has part or fully paid, and if the property is closed.
To place a booking manually, you simply click on the arrival day and then fill in the booking details.
If it's a returning guest, you can click Lookup past customers and it will fill in these details for you (pulled from previous records saved in your SuperControl database. When you click save it generates the booking, and from here on you manage the booking in exactly the same way you manage one that has been made online.
Both these options are supported in this help guide
When you log into your SuperControl account, you arrive on the payment reminders page. It provides a good overview about what's happening; you can see any payments that are due or overdue, as well as any new bookings you have (these show in bold until you have clicked on them to view them).
You can also search for a booking in the top right hand side of the screen using the search function.

When you click on a booking you can see all of the booking details, the payment summary, answers to any questions you added to your booking form, and any notes you make are saved here too.
