Make sure your SuperControl set-up works perfectly before launch:
- Preview the guest calendars before adding them to your site.
- Walk through the full booking journey by making a test booking.
- Manage the test booking to check automated emails.
- Make sure you’re confident handling website bookings from start to finish.
- Go to Admin > Website Integration where you will see your Saved Calendar. If you still need to create your Calendar, follow these Instructions until the end of Step 5.
- You can now click 'Preview' next to your newly saved calendar.

- You will now be able to see a preview of the calendar you have just created. This is what will eventually be embedded onto your website. You can then select the dates you are interested in.

In the example below, the dates selected have the correct weekly price showing, and we can also see that a discount has been set-up to apply automatically. If this was what was intended, then you can proceed to click 'Book Now'. If not, return to the Price Planner and edit the price band spanning these dates or amend/remove the discount in the 'Discounts' tab of the property.

Troubleshooting Pricing & Availability
- Check: Did you pick a start date + short break (or stay over 7 nights)?
- Problem: No price showing?
- Reason: Stay length is allowed in your Short Break Band, but the price is missing from the Price Band.
- Fix: Add the missing price (e.g. 4-night weekend rate).

- Fix missing prices: Go to the Property’s Price Planner, click the blue Price Band, and add the missing price.
- Why it matters: Even if 1-night stays aren’t allowed, a 1-night price is needed to calculate longer stays (e.g., 8 nights).

If your property is “Enquire Now,” use Calendar Preview and click the “Enquire Now” button instead.
Place a test booking using Calendar Preview like a guest. Pick a start date, number of guests, and click “Book Now.”
Check the Booking Cart to make sure:
- The price is correct (with discounts applied).
- Booking options and extras are showing as expected (e.g., paid Dog Fee, free Electric Car).
Troubleshooting Booking Extras
If a Booking Extra isn’t showing, check that “Show on Website” is ticked under Properties → Booking Extras → Edit.
Also check the areas marked by the red arrows below, as any of these can prevent an extra from appearing for certain dates.

If the extra still doesn’t appear, check that it has a Maximum Quantity and Price set in the Booking Extras tab for the property.
- Example: Firewood had no quantity → didn’t appear.
- Electric Car had a quantity but no price → showed as free.
- Dog Fee had both → showed as a chargeable option.
For extras that should add automatically, enter a quantity in the Default column. Don’t forget to save changes by clicking the floppy disk icon.
The Booking Form
Click “Place Booking” in the Booking Cart to open the Booking Form. Fill in all required details, check that custom questions appear, and agree to the Terms & Conditions. To avoid a real payment, select Bank Transfer as the payment method.
If custom booking form questions aren’t showing, go to Properties → Booking & Enquiry Form Fields and make sure each question:
- Shows on the Booking Form (or both Booking & Enquiry forms)
- Is set to Show to Customers
- Is set to Show on Site
- Is not archived
Click Edit to fix anything, then Save.3. Pressing the 'Place Booking' button on the Booking Cart, will take you through to the Booking Form.
Here, you can fill in the mandatory details required to place a booking, and check that any custom Booking Form Questions appear correctly. You also are required to assent to your Terms & Conditions before a booking can be placed.
Troubleshooting Payment Options- At the bottom of the Booking Form pop-up you will be able to choose between various Payment Options.
- Payment Options Checklist:
- Visa/MasterCard: Check both columns in Admin → General Details; greyed-out boxes = integration not complete.
- Other options: Tick Bank Transfer, Cheque, or add custom options as needed.
- PayPal: Enter your PayPal email to enable.
- Pay By Card: Only for external card terminals; no payment is taken at booking.

After placing a booking, you’ll see a summary page with the details you entered. A Booking Summary is emailed to the guest and any Admins listed in Admin → General Details.
The summary uses the template set under Emails/Letters → “Use for Online Booking Summary”, which you can change or edit (e.g., add Bank Transfer details) using tags for guest/booking info.
You can find the booking later in Recent Bookings or via the search tool at the top right.
Test Booking – Emails
- Mark payments as paid (deposit/balance, mark off receipt of payment) → check automated emails send.
- Wait up to 30 mins (emails send in batches).
- If no email: check the scheduling criteria + confirm email group is applied to the property is linked to the property.
Use your test booking to practice Editing a booking (guest numbers, prices, property, dates) and try recording a refund via Bank Transfer.. When done, simply Cancel it, to free up the dates again.
