Cross updating an overview

Updated on

Cross-updating keeps your calendars in sync so you don’t have to update availability manually. If one property (or account) gets a booking, the same dates are automatically blocked on any connected property or account. This helps prevent double bookings and saves you time.

The options below outline the different scenarios of how the set up can be used however please speak with your onboarding advisor for any more information.

Expand or collapse content 1. You want to market properties together

For example, “House 1” sleeps 4 and “House 2” sleeps 6, but you also want to offer them as “House 3” that sleeps 10. With cross-updating, if one is booked, the others block out automatically.

Below in the diagram you can see how the houses would be combined.

This is how a booking received for House 1, 2 and 3 would be blocking out the availability of the other properties:

If a guest books House 1, it will block availability for House 3 automatically.

If a guest books House 2, it will block availability for House 3 automatically.

If a guest books House 3, it will block availability for House 1 and House 2 automatically.

Expand or collapse content 2. You share a property across different SuperControl accounts

If another company or agency also markets your property, cross-updating makes sure availability always matches in both accounts.

Cross-updating’s main purpose is blocking dates. Full booking details (like payments or owner statements) aren’t included unless specifically requested with the agreement from the other party.

This is a chargeable service, starting from £30 + VAT.

It must be requested through onboarding@supercontrol.co.uk

When you are ready, the step by step process is detailed in the full cross - updating guide found here
