The information added to the Web details section of a property should be the key information and description for that property.
The information provided here will be used for the integration with channels such as Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo (HomeAway).
The information can also be pulled into auto-emails that you are scheduling by using specific email tags.

✨ Top Tips for Property Descriptions
- Lead with the best feature
- Start with what makes the property unique (sea view, cozy log fire, private garden, central location, etc.).
- Keep it clear and easy to scan
- Use short sentences and break text into small paragraphs.
- Highlight key amenities (Wi-Fi, parking, pet-friendly).
- Write for your guest, not yourself
- Focus on the experience they will have (“Wake up to ocean views…”), not just a list of features.
- Be honest
- Manage expectations by being accurate. Guests trust clear descriptions more than overselling.
- Use keywords naturally
- Include terms guests are likely to search for (e.g. “family-friendly cottage,” “near city centre,” “beachfront apartment”).
- Add personality
- A warm, inviting tone helps guests imagine themselves there.
- Cover practical details
- Mention the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, layout, and any accessibility information.
- Highlight local perks
- Nearby attractions, shops, transport links, or hidden gems make listings more appealing.
Go to Properties > Edit > Web details in the drop-down menu to the right of the property > Go.
If you have more than one SiteID, you can add different descriptions for each individual Site ID.
You can also select a specific language for your description. This allows you to promote your property in the language of your target audience.
The default language is English. You do not need to select it. It is selected automatically when you open the page.
This option allows you to add a short, snappy caption, which can be shared with some channels via API integration.
Please note:
This property sub-caption will not be forwarded to Airbnb or Booking.com.
The Short description should be a short overview covering the best features of your property.
All the details, features and highlights should be added to the Main description.
This information is used for the full content integration with e.g. Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com.
You can use the formatting at the top of the text field to style the text according to your requirements and to make it easily readable for your guest.
Please note:
Neither Airbnb nor Booking.com allow any kind of links in the descriptions, e.g. this-is-our-website.co.uk. The integration will fail if there are links contained within your description.
Additionally for Booking.com
Please make sure that you add a space after each full-stop. Otherwise Booking.com regards the text as a link, e.g. [...] our property.We provide [...] This would be highlighted when trying to onboard the property using the full content integration.
It should be amended to [...] our property. We provide [...]
Here you should add the highlights of the location, e.g. close to the beach, renowned local restaurant is only 5 minutes away on foot, etc.
Be detailed, but don't overwhelm you guests with too much information. You should always provide more detailed information directly to the guest by e.g. using the guest login.
For accounts using the SuperControl API only
You can add Location information, Changeover day notes and a Second description and call this information when you are using the SuperControl API to import data from SuperControl to your website.
Please note that using the SuperControl API is a chargeable service we offer.
Please make sure
You save regularly to prevent loss of information due to inactivity, e.g. save when you have finished a section.
At the bottom of the page, to the right of the Save button, you will see the option to Update HomeAway Data (now Vrbo), even if you’re not connected to HomeAway / Vrbo. This option is showing by default and is not a reflection of your SuperControl account being connected to HomeAway / Vrbo.
If you are already connected to Airbnb you will also see the option Update Airbnb Data. This option is only visible when you are actually connected to Airbnb.
