Why is the price on Booking.com not displaying as expected?

Updated on

There could be a number of factors, which can cause your price not to display as you expect on Booking.com.
Things to check / do would be:

  1. Are you sending discounted rates?
If you have set up a discount, the rate we are sending to Booking.com will have been reduced by any applicable discount.
To check any discounts, go to Properties > Edit > Discounts to the right of the property > Go. You will need to scroll through the page to see all applicable discounts and their settings.
  2. Have you set an uplift?
If you have applied an uplift to the integration of a property with Booking.com your price will be raised (positive uplift) or reduced (negative uplift).
You can check the applied uplift in the channel manager.
Go to Integrations > Channel manager > International > Booking.com.

For the rates & availability (legacy) connection search for the property, then click onto the heading Rate options to the right of the property.

Please note:
You might need to click the Legacy integration button to see your connected properties/

When you are using the full content (API) integration, you will see the applied uplifts directly next to the rate plans.

  1. Have you more than two rate plans set up on Booking.com?
When you are having more than a Standard and a Non-refundable rate set up on the extranet directly, Booking.com will show the prices created by these rates to potential guests as well.
These prices are not influence directly by the price planner, but are mostly dependent rate plans. This means they are e.g. taking the Standard price and applying a discount percentage to it.
To check this, you will need to log into your Booking.com account and then go to Rates & Availability > Rate plans.
  2. If you have made changes to e.g. the prices planner, you can push the latest data to Booking.com straight after you are finished.
To do this, go to Integrations > Channel manager > International > Booking.com. You can either push the data for property individually, or for all properties at once.

For the rates & availability (legacy) connection use this option to the right of a property to push the data for this property only.

Or you scroll to the bottom of the page and click this button:

For the full content (API) integration, click send to the rate of the date range:

You need to click the down arrow to extend the date range, and forward the prices for the next 24 months by selecting the second option next and then Send

In this drop down menu you can also select specific date range, if required.

In order to send the price data for all properties at once, scroll to the bottom of the page and used this option.

Please remember:
You will need to push the data for both date ranges.

Please note:
It can take up to 24 hours for this change to update on Booking.com and may take longer to complete, if you a lot of many properties.

If after 24 hours your rates are still not correct, please contact us.
