How to change the cancellation policy for Booking.com

You can change the cancellation policy after the property has been created, connected and been booked by guests.
How you change the cancellation policy depends on whether you are connected using the Rates & Availability Only (legacy) integration, or if you are connected using the Full content (API) integration.

Rates & Availability Only (legacy) Integration

To change your cancellation policy, log into the Booking.com extranet. Then:

  1. Click on the Property > Policies
  1. In the top section, Cancellation and prepayment policies, within the top right hand square click Edit.
  1. Make any required changes in the pop-up window.
  2. Click Save at the bottom of the pop-up window.

Please note:
This new cancellation policy will only apply to new reservations. Any reservation already in Booking.com will not be effected.

Full Content (API) Integration

In order to change the cancellation policy you need to do the following:
1. Go to Integrations > Channel manager > International > Booking.com .
2. Click onto Property settings.

3. For the option Cancellation policy change the cancellation policy by selecting the new one from the drop-down menu.
