Will my Vrbo (HomeAway) listing show on Expedia?

Updated on

As Vrbo (HomeAway) is part of the Expedia Group your property will be showing on Vrbo as well as Expedia if Vrbo’s Expanded Distribution criteria is met.
Eligible Vrbo properties are promoted across Expedia brands (including Expedia.com, Travelocity, Trivago and others). This is done via Vrbo’s Expanded Distribution Network, not by creating a separate Expedia listing.

This is how it works, based on our latest information:

  • Instant Book must be enabled
Vrbo states that listings must have Instant Booking turned on to qualify for automatic distribution.
  • Eligibility is not guaranteed though
Even if Instant Book is enabled, the demand in your region and the network’s distribution needs are also taken into consideration.
  • There is no extra cost
If you receive a booking via Expedia, there is no extra commission to pay. Only the normal Vrbo commission applies.
  • Where do the bookings appear
Reservations received by any of the Expedia brands will show in your Vrbo (HomeAway) dashboard.
