Airbnb Cancellation Policy Changes
Airbnb is removing the Super Strict 30 and Super Strict 60 cancellation policies.
Timeline
- 15 June 2026 – Super Strict 30 and Super Strict 60 can no longer be selected for newly created Airbnb listings.
- 15 June 2026 to 15 September 2026 – Hosts with existing listings using these policies have a transition period to select an alternative cancellation policy.
- 15 September 2026 – Airbnb will withdraw support for Super Strict 30 and Super Strict 60.
What This Means for Hosts
If your listing currently uses a Super Strict cancellation policy:
- Super Strict 30 and Super Strict 60 can no longer be applied to new Airbnb listings.
- If you change an existing listing from Super Strict 30 or Super Strict 60 to another cancellation policy, you will not be able to switch it back.
- Existing listings using Super Strict 30 or Super Strict 60 can continue to use these policies until 15 September 2026.
- Before this date, you should review your cancellation policy settings and select an alternative Airbnb-supported policy if appropriate.
- Airbnb has advised that listings remaining on a deprecated policy after the withdrawal date may be migrated to another supported cancellation policy as part of Airbnb's transition process.
