How to forward compliance information to Booking.com

Updated on

Currently there are different regulations in place in regards to the compliance data, which needs to be provided to channels, depending on the country the property is in.

Currently a property / tourist licence and the EPC rating can be set up in SuperControl and forwarded to channels.

To set this up got to Properties > Edit > Go > section Property details.
T
here you will find the following options

You can then enable the option to automatically forward property compliance information to Booking.com. Follow the steps below:

Compliance API is only available to Booking.com full content listings, any Booking.com listings mapped through the legacy integration on Rates and Availability only will have to enter compliance information directly into Booking.com connectivity portal.

Send Compliance data for ALL new and existing properties in bulk

1. Go to Integrations > Channel Manager > International> Booking.com. Scroll down to the Booking.com Options section, select Yes in the compliance drop down menu and Save

This will set the default for any new properties onboarded to Booking.com in the future.

3. To send compliance data for existing properties on Booking.com, click "Apply to all" in the top right hand corner:

4. Tick "Send Compliance data" and "Apply". You will see a message to let you know your existing properties are updated.

Send Compliance data for individual properties only

1. Go to Integrations > Channel Manager> International> Booking.com> Click on the Property settings of the property you wish to select. Then click on the Compliance tab.

2. On the Compliance pop-up toggle on the "Send Compliance" switch.

Please note:
Any required information will be marked with an Asterisk ( * ) for you to complete, if not already completed. SuperControl pulls information from the data you already have in SuperControl, but if you do need to add information you can do so by clicking on the Edit button, which will take you straight to the place you need to go to enter missing information.

Updating required/missing compliance data

If the sending of Compliance data to Booking.com has been enabled and required  information is missing, you will see a reminder to add the missing information underneath each of  the properties on the channel manager page.

You can click Edit to be directed to the Compliance tab for the selected property, where you can see what's missing and complete missing information. Once the missing information is added, you can simply Re-validate for the listing on the main channel manager page for an instant update.

Under the Compliance tab of each property in the Booking.com Property settings any required information will be marked with an Asterisk for you to complete if not already completed. SuperControl pulls information to this pop-up from the data you already have in SuperControl, but if you do need to add information you can do so by clicking on the "Edit" button, which will take you straight to the Property settings page to enter missing information.

Remember to Save the page at the bottom of the property settings page if you add any new information.

Why does it say there is no information required?

In some cases, whilst licensing is still being rolled out as a new law, you may see that the Compliance tab doesn't have any requirements at the moment. This just means that the Booking.com API doesn't require any information yet for your property location.

SuperControl get regular updates from the API and we have ensured that we receive direct notifications as soon as there is new required information added to the API. Once we add the new data field in SuperControl you will be notified in your account alerts if there is missing information and you will be able to see this validation on the main integration page under each property.

What if I already entered my compliance data directly into Airbnb?

Booking.com do have the facility to hold compliance information directly in their portal but if you switch to send Compliance from SuperControl, then SuperControl becomes the main source of truth and the existing compliance data in Booking.com will be removed and replaced with what's in SuperControl.

We recommend sending compliance from SuperControl instead of directly within the portal as it allows for easier onboarding in the future if the information is already there and wont be required for you to complete in Booking.com every time.
