Please note:
If you have currently set up a fixed amount to be collected as the deposit for a booking, the guest is asked to pay 100% of the total amount due for the booking at the time the booking is made. This will apple to all bookings made with Holidu.
Holidu only accepts a percentage of the total amount due as deposit.
The option to split deposit and balance payments when using the fixed deposit payment option might be added in the future.
1. The guest will book on Holidu and will enter their card details directly into the booking form on Holidu's checkout.
2. After the guest has entered their card details on the Holidu website, it will appear on their card statement that the money has been collected. Though, this is not really the case. The money has been ring-fenced and made unavailable for the guest.
The card authorisation is being forwarded to SuperControl. This means in SuperControl the truncated card number is showing in the booking's customer payment tab and there it can be selected to process the payment.
In contrast to a booking by phone, where you would have to enter the card details manually, they are being provided in secure form ready for payment processing.
Do Holidu payments comply with PSD2?
The guest will go through the relevant 3DS checks at the time of booking. Holidu will then send us the results of these checks as secure tokens when they provide the card details. We can use these tokens st the time of processing the payment. Meaning, these transactions will comply with PSD2.
