Booking.com Content API Onboarding

The Content API integration process is for the creation of NEW listings only.

NB. New listing - a property that has never been listed on Booking.com previously.

If you already have listings on Booking.com they will not show on this page since they will be displayed in the Legacy integration page.

Step 1. Booking.com Contract

Follow either one of the two initial sets of instructions, depending upon whether you already have a Booking.com account or not:

New to Booking.com: Follow these instructions

If you are new to Booking.com then you are required to create and sign a new contract via https://secure.supercontrol.co.uk/page/BookingCom/Onboarding

Select Create and sign a new contract:

Fill out the form with as many details as you can provide:

Click Create Booking.com contract to send the request to Booking.com.

If the request was successful, you will receive the following message:

What happens upon submitting your contract request?

Booking.com will send an email invite to begin your partner registration - this is where you sign your contract agreeing to Booking.com terms and conditions. This will also allow you to modify or complete the information we sent (such as contact information, property location information).

You must agree before proceeding.

Any issues?

Should you have any issues or any questions within this stage of the process these should be directed directly to Booking.com account manager.

Completing the Contract

Booking.com will confirm with an email asking you to create your account:

And a separate email containing your signed contract:

Creating your account

You will be asked to create a password.  Your username is your email address, and you can then log in via https://admin.booking.com

In SuperControl the onboarding screen will update to reflect the status of your contract. If a legal entity ID is available this will be displayed.

If the page has not fully updated to reflect that you have signed your contract you can force an update:

If you did not receive any emails you can attempt to resend these:

Set-up Complete: If you see the message below then you are all set to start onboarding properties via the Booking.com Content API.

You can now move to Step 2

Already list on Booking.com? Follow these instructions instead

If you already have a Booking.com account then you can automatically import your legal entity ID into SuperControl to begin onboarding properties via the Booking.com Content API without the need of having to create or sign a new contract.

Pre-requisites

  • The email address used to sign up with Booking.com
  • The ability to access emails sent to this email address

The process

Via https://secure.supercontrol.co.uk/page/integration/BookingCom/Onboarding select the option to retrieve contract information:

The email address will be pre-filled based on the email address SuperControl have on file for your account.  If this is incorrect then you can change this (via the change e-mail link).

Changed email:

Once you have completed this step by clicking retrieve Booking.com contract will start the following process:

SuperControl will send an email to verify that you are the owner - you are then required to click the Confirm Partner Agreement link

Upon confirming and upon successful retrieving of your Legal Entity ID we will assign it to your account and provide the following message:

The onboarding page within SuperControl will be updated to reflect this:

You can now move to Step 2

Contract not found and troubleshooting

If the email address you entered is invalid then you will not receive our confirmation email so will not be able to proceed.  You are required to reset the contract and try again.

If the email address you entered is valid but not connected to a Booking.com contract upon confirming your partner agreement (via the email)

You will receive the following message and should try again by resetting the contract:

Step 2. Onboarding your Properties to Booking.com

1.  Go to Integrations > Channel Manager > International > Booking.com. For each property you want to list on Booking.com, click "Property settings" and enter in as much information as you can for each heading:

2. Return to your Booking.com integration page and click "Onboard". A progress tracker will appear underneath.

If you have any other property information missing to send to Booking.com you will have an alert display like this. Work through each page to enter in the information provided (click the necessary links to direct you to the required pages).

3. Once all information is validated your progress tracker will run checks through Booking.com and then the final stage "Ready to open" means your listing is populated on Booking.com.

4. To publish the listing live and bookable on Booking.com click "Activate".

Please note it can take Booking.com 48 hours to build your listing.

Questions

It won't give me access to add my uplift, how do I do this?

Once you click "Onboard" and the building of your listing has completed, the Room/Hotel ID fields will become populated. Once these are added you will have access to enter your uplift.

How long should it take for my listing to be built on Booking.com?

It can take up to 24 hours for Booking.com to complete your listing.

If I want to change any of my content do I do this in SuperControl or Booking.com?

Your content should be updated in SuperControl. Once changes are made it will trigger an update to Booking.com and the change should appear within 24 hours.

Booking.com Rate Plans

When you initially connect to Booking.com you have the option to create a "Standard" rate plan and a "Non-refundable" rate plan.

However, within your Booking.com login you also have the opportunity to create your own unique rate plans if you desire (Located within the Rates and Availability page) See area highlighted in green as an example of new rate plan created:

Does creating additional rate plans cause issue with my integration?

Unfortunately yes as there is no option for us to map your SuperControl pricing to additional rate plans apart from your "Standard" and "Non-refundable rate". This means that when you receive a booking, your pricing may not be as you expected due to the additional rate plans created.

What should I do if I don't want a Non-refundable rate?

Within your Booking.com extranet you are able to remove rate plans that you don't want. However, you must inform us at support@supercontrol.co.uk so we can un-map the connection to that rate plan from our side. This ensures your pricing will synchronise correctly.
