What type of integration does Simply Owners have with SuperControl?

The Simply Owners connection is a full integration, not an iCal feed. This means your data is shared directly between SuperControl and Simply Owners, and bookings are handled as direct bookings.

What Data is shared

The following information is automatically pulled from SuperControl and displayed on Simply Owners:

  • Pricing – including standard pricing and discounts
  • Availability – live availability updates based on your SuperControl calendar
  • Content – property descriptions and key listing details 

How are bookings handled

Any enquiries or bookings generated via Simply Owners come into SuperControl as direct bookings. You remain fully in control of:

  • Guest communication
  • Payments and deposits
  • Cancellation terms
  • Booking conditions

This works in exactly the same way as bookings coming via your own website, with no commission and no third‑party involvement.

Why is my property type showing as a cottage on Simply Owners?

Via the SuperControl connection, property type is not currently passed through to Simply Owners. As a result, properties will default to “Cottage” on the Simply Owners platform.

If you would like to change how your property type is displayed, you can do this directly within your Simply Owners dashboard, where the property type can be updated manually.

How do I make sure my property amenities show on Simply Owners?

For your property amenities to be included in the feed to Simply Owners, they must be mapped to a VRBO / HomeAway equivalent within SuperControl.

Only amenities that are mapped in this way will be shared and displayed on Simply Owners.

Who takes payment for bookings?

You do.

Simply Owners does not take payments on your behalf. Guests are redirected to your SuperControl booking flow, and:

  • Payments
  • Deposits
  • Terms and conditions

all follow your existing SuperControl setup.

Are  discounts supported?

Yes. If you have discounts, special prices offers, or late availability flags configured in SuperControl, these will display on your Simply Owners listing.

Properties with late availability may also appear in dedicated late‑availability searches on Simply Owners, giving additional visibility.

How can I track bookings from Simply Owners?

Bookings generated via Simply Owners are tagged with “Simply Owners” as the booking source in SuperControl.

This makes it easy to:

  • Identify bookings from Simply Owners
  • Measure performance
  • Track the success of the channel over time
Do owners get performance statistics?

Yes. Simply Owners provides access to an owner dashboard where you can view:

  • Listing views
  • Property page opens
  • Guest actions such as website clicks, email enquiries, and phone clicks

Is Simply Owners considered an OTA?

No. Simply Owners is not an OTA.

Can I use existing Guest reviews or Testimonials from other platforms?

Yes. Guest Reviews from other platforms can be added, provided you can supply evidence (such as screenshots) that the reviews relate to your property.
